Possible Causes
Clogged defrost drain hole, Frozen drain tube, Cracked drain trough, Door gasket allowing excess moisture
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Water on the floor can be a slip hazard.
- Locate drain: On frost-free Ignis freezers, the drain hole is usually beneath the evaporator behind the rear internal panel.
- Clear blockage: Use warm water and a plastic turkey baster or syringe to flush the drain hole. Do not use metal tools.
- Check drain tube: From the rear, locate the drain tube leading to the drip tray. Ensure it is not kinked or blocked. Clear gently with flexible plastic line if needed.
- Inspect drip tray: Make sure the tray above the compressor is not cracked and is properly positioned.
