Safety first: Unplug the freezer if you need to remove hinge covers or adjust hardware.

Steps:

• Clean gasket and frame: Wipe both with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
• Check alignment: Close the door and look for uneven gaps. Adjust the leveling legs so the door closes squarely.
• Hinge adjustment: On some Midea models, loosen hinge screws slightly, reposition the door for better alignment, and retighten.
• Replace gasket: If the gasket is torn, hardened, or permanently deformed, replace it with a Midea-specific door gasket. Warm the new gasket with a hair dryer to help it conform.
