Freezer baskets or drawers difficult to slide, sticking due to ice

Possible Causes

Excessive frost build-up, Spilled liquids freezing in runners, Warped plastic drawers from overloading

Safety: Do not force drawers; they can crack.

Defrost area: Unplug the freezer and allow ice around the drawers to melt using bowls of warm water and towels.
Clean runners: Remove drawers and clean the runners and contact surfaces to remove sticky residues.
Avoid overloading: Do not exceed the recommended weight in each drawer to prevent warping.

After cleaning and defrosting, drawers should slide smoothly again.
