Interior Light Circuit Failure
Freezer interior light not working, cooling normal
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Blown LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light connector, Failed light driver on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before working on the light assembly.
- Check door switch: Verify that the door switch operates correctly and is not stuck.
- Inspect light cover: Remove the light lens inside the cabinet. Check for obvious damage or burnt marks on the LED module.
- Test voltage: With care and the unit powered, measure voltage at the light connector when the door is open. If voltage is present but the light is off, replace the LED module.
- Replace module: Fit a Montpellier-compatible LED light assembly and reattach the cover.
If no voltage is present at the light connector and the door switch is good, the control PCB light circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
