Advertisements
Possible Causes
Loose condenser coil, Loose compressor springs, Refrigerant lines hitting cabinet, Loose basket rails or shelves
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before touching internal components.
- Identify noise source: Listen carefully at start/stop to locate whether the sound comes from the rear, sides, or interior.
- Secure baskets and shelves: Remove and reseat all baskets and shelves. Tighten any loose rails or brackets.
- Check rear components: At the back, ensure the condenser coil is firmly clipped and not vibrating against the cabinet. Add foam pads where needed.
- Isolate pipes: Separate any refrigerant pipes that knock against each other or the frame using foam sleeves or clips.
If internal compressor components are rattling, the compressor may need replacement by a professional.
