Possible Causes

Loose wiring harness between display PCB and main control board, Faulty main control board, Faulty user interface/display PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer from the wall outlet before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

Steps to check and correct:

  • Pull the freezer away from the wall to access the rear and side panels.
  • Remove the control panel cover (usually at the front top or rear, depending on the Ocean model) using a screwdriver.
  • Locate the wiring harness that connects the user interface/display PCB to the main control board.
  • Inspect all connectors for looseness, corrosion, or burnt marks. Reseat each connector firmly until it clicks.
  • Check for any pinched or broken wires in the harness; if damaged, the harness should be replaced.
  • With power still disconnected, visually inspect the main control board for burnt components or bulged capacitors.
  • Reconnect power and see if the E0 code clears. If the code returns, the main control board or display PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.

When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable accessing control boards or if you see burnt components, contact a qualified appliance technician.
