Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction by dust or debris, Loose wiring to condenser fan, Faulty main control board fan output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer. The condenser area may be hot.
Steps:
- Remove the rear lower access panel to expose the condenser coil and fan.
- Inspect the condenser fan blades for dust buildup, plastic bags, or other obstructions; clean and remove any debris.
- Try spinning the fan blade by hand; if stiff or seized, the motor is likely bad and should be replaced.
- Check the wiring harness and connector to the fan motor; reseat and inspect for damage.
- If you can safely test live voltage, verify that the fan receives power when the compressor is running. If power is present but the fan does not run, replace the condenser fan motor.
- If no power is present and wiring is intact, the main control board may need replacement.
