Water leaking onto floor from under or around the freezer

Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Mop up any standing water to prevent slips.

Steps:

• On upright models, remove the interior rear panel to locate the defrost drain hole beneath the evaporator.
• Inspect the drain hole for ice or debris; clear it using warm water and a small flexible brush or pipe cleaner.
• From the rear, locate the drain tube leading to the drain pan above the compressor; ensure it is not kinked or blocked.
• Check the drain pan for cracks or misalignment; replace if damaged.
• Inspect the door gasket for gaps that may cause excessive frost and water; repair or replace as needed.
