Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid prolonged contact with extremely cold surfaces inside the freezer.
Steps to address L1/LO:
- 1. Check temperature setting: Ensure the setpoint is appropriate (typically around -18°C). Adjust if set too low.
- 2. Inspect door gasket: A leaking gasket can cause the compressor to run excessively. Check for gaps, tears, or hardened sections. Replace if necessary.
- 3. Power reset: Unplug the freezer for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. Monitor whether the temperature stabilizes at the correct setpoint.
- 4. Sensor check: If the unit continues to overcool, the cabinet sensor may be misreading. Test and replace the cabinet NTC sensor if it is out of specification.
Note: If the control PCB is driving the compressor continuously despite correct sensor readings, the board may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
