Possible Causes
Burned-out LED or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light connector, Broken wiring in door switch circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before working on the light or switch.
Steps to restore interior light:
- 1. Check bulb/LED module: On models with replaceable bulbs, remove and visually inspect the bulb. Replace if filament is broken. On LED modules, inspect for burn marks.
- 2. Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the frame). Press it by hand; you should hear a click. Remove it and test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state when pressed.
- 3. Inspect wiring: Ensure connectors to the light and switch are secure and wires are not damaged.
- 4. Replace faulty parts: Install a compatible Proline light module or door switch as needed.
