Safety first: Unplug the freezer before opening the control panel.

1. Remove control panel cover: Carefully unclip or unscrew the front control housing.
2. Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon or harness between the UI and main board to restore good contact.
3. Inspect for moisture: Dry any condensation and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol.
4. Replace UI PCB: If segments remain missing or buttons fail, replace the user interface PCB with a Severin-compatible part.

Digital display is dim, some segments are missing, or buttons respond intermittently.
