Freezer shows E7 and may not respond to temperature changes; sometimes accompanied by continuous alarm beeping.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer. The control board carries mains voltage; handle with care.

• 1. Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to fully discharge the control board. Reconnect and check if E7 clears temporarily. If it returns, proceed.
• 2. Access main PCB: On most Severin freezers, the main board is located behind the rear lower panel or in a side electronics compartment. Remove the cover screws and panel.
• 3. Visual inspection: Look for burnt areas, swollen capacitors, cracked solder joints, or insect damage. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
• 4. Check connectors: Reseat all harness connectors to the board (sensors, compressor, fan, UI). Ensure no pins are bent or corroded.
• 5. Surge protection: If E7 occurred after a power surge, consider using a surge-protected outlet after repair to prevent recurrence.
• 6. Replace the PCB: Order the exact Severin main control board for your model. Transfer any jumper settings or mounting hardware from the old board. Connect all harnesses to the same positions as before.
• 7. Test: Reinstall the cover, restore power, and verify that E7 is gone and the freezer cools normally.
