Possible Causes

Faulty super-freeze button or switch, Defective indicator LED circuit, Control board logic error for super-freeze, Broken wiring from UI to main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the freezer from mains before opening the control panel.

  • 1. Test button function: With the unit powered (before disassembly), press the super-freeze button and observe if any indicator lights or icons respond. If not, suspect the button or UI.
  • 2. Access control panel: Unplug the freezer, then remove the control panel cover to expose the button PCB.
  • 3. Inspect button contacts: Check for worn or contaminated tactile switches. Clean the PCB with isopropyl alcohol if sticky residues are present.
  • 4. Check wiring to main PCB: Ensure the harness from the UI to the main board is intact and firmly connected.
  • 5. Replace UI or main PCB: If the button is mechanically sound but F6 persists, replace the user interface PCB. If that does not resolve the issue, the main control board may have a logic fault and require replacement.
  • 6. Test super-freeze: After repair, activate super-freeze and verify that the compressor runs continuously for the expected period and that F6 does not reappear.
