Possible Causes

Ambient sensor detecting temperature outside design range, Freezer installed in unheated garage or very hot room, Faulty ambient NTC sensor, Control board misinterpreting ambient readings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Always unplug the freezer before accessing sensors or control boards.

  • 1. Check installation location: Verify that the freezer is installed within the ambient temperature range specified in the Severin manual (climate class). Move it to a more suitable room if necessary.
  • 2. Inspect ambient sensor: Locate and test the ambient NTC sensor as described for E3. Replace if readings are incorrect.
  • 3. Reset control: After correcting ambient conditions or replacing the sensor, unplug the freezer for 10 minutes, then reconnect to clear H2.
  • 4. Monitor: Observe operation over 24 hours. If H2 persists in a proper environment with a good sensor, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
