Freezer emits a strong musty or moldy odor when opened.

• 2. Thorough cleaning: Clean all interior surfaces, baskets, and shelves with a solution of mild detergent and warm water, followed by a wipe-down with a baking soda solution (about 2 tablespoons per liter of water).
• 3. Clean gasket: Gently pull back the door gasket folds and clean inside with the same solution to remove trapped debris and mold.
• 4. Air out: Leave the door open for several hours with the unit unplugged to allow odors to dissipate completely.
• 5. Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach or ammonia inside the freezer, as fumes can be absorbed by plastic and food.
