Localized Frost – Air Leak or Airflow Issue
Ice forming only on the top or only on one side of the freezer interior, with other areas relatively frost-free.

Possible Causes
Localized door gasket leak, Warped door, Blocked air channels in no-frost models, Misaligned inner panels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before adjusting panels or seals.
- 1. Inspect gasket contact: Close the door on a strip of paper at multiple points around the perimeter, especially where frost is concentrated. If the paper slides out easily, the seal is poor there.
- 2. Adjust door alignment: Slightly loosen hinge screws and adjust the door position to improve gasket contact, then retighten.
- 3. Warm and reshape gasket: Use a hair dryer on low heat to gently warm and reshape deformed gasket sections, pressing them against the cabinet to improve sealing.
- 4. Check air channels: In no-frost models, ensure that air vents and channels behind the inner panel are not blocked by ice or food. Clear obstructions and perform a manual defrost if needed.
