Possible Causes
Ice or debris blocking drain hole, Mold or food particles in drain tube, Drain heater (if fitted) not working
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before defrosting or removing panels.
Steps:
- Manual defrost: Remove food and allow ice at the bottom to melt, or carefully use warm water to speed melting. Do not use sharp tools.
- Access drain: Remove the rear inner panel to expose the evaporator and drain trough.
- Clear blockage: Use warm water and a flexible tube to flush the drain hole until water flows freely to the drain pan.
- Check drain heater (if present): Some models have a small heater near the drain. Test for continuity and replace if open.
- Prevent recurrence: Avoid spilling liquids inside the freezer and keep packaging away from the drain area.
