- Locate communication harness: Identify the multi-wire harness or ribbon cable between the display/UI and the main control board.
- Inspect and reseat: Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the harness, ensuring a snug fit. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
- Check harness continuity: Use a multimeter to verify continuity on each conductor. Replace the harness if any line is open.
- Substitute boards: If wiring is good, replace the UI board first. If E14 persists, replace the main control board.
