Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstructed fan blades with dust or debris, Open wiring harness to condenser fan, Faulty main control board output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before working in the compressor compartment.
- Access condenser fan: Remove the rear lower access panel to expose the condenser coil and fan.
- Clean the area: Vacuum dust from the condenser coil and fan blades. Ensure nothing is blocking the fan.
- Check fan movement: Spin the blades by hand. If stiff or noisy, replace the fan motor.
- Test for voltage: With the unit plugged in and compressor running, carefully check for voltage at the fan connector. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Inspect wiring and board: If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the main control board may have a failed fan driver and require replacement.
