Possible Causes
Partially blocked burner, Incorrect gas pressure, Faulty flame sensor, Poor combustion air supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power and gas. Do not continue to run the appliance with unstable flame.
- Check air supply: Ensure ventilation grilles and the Baxi flue/air intake are unobstructed.
- Clean burner and flame sensor: Remove the burner assembly and clean ports with a soft brush. Clean the flame sensor as described for E02.
- Condensate check: Confirm the condensate trap and drain are clear, as backing up condensate can disturb combustion.
- Professional combustion check: A gas engineer should verify gas rate and perform flue gas analysis to ensure stable combustion.
