Possible Causes
Cracked condensate trap, Disconnected condensate hose, Blocked drain line, Corroded secondary heat exchanger (condensing models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power. Be cautious of slippery wet surfaces.
- Locate leak source: Remove the front panel and observe where water originates during operation.
- Check hoses: Ensure all condensate hoses are firmly attached to the IVT condensate trap and drain connections.
- Clean drain: Flush the condensate line with warm water to clear blockages. Use a wet/dry vacuum at the drain termination if accessible.
- Inspect trap: Look for cracks or leaks in the trap body. Replace the trap if damaged.
If water appears to come from inside the heat exchanger section, have a technician inspect for corrosion or cracks.
