Possible Causes
Open manual reset safety thermostat, Tripped flue overheat thermostat, Open external safety loop wiring, Faulty safety thermostat on Termet furnace casing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the furnace to cool fully.
- Locate safety thermostats: Identify manual reset thermostats on the flue hood, casing, or near the burner. Press the reset button if present.
- Check wiring loop: Trace the low-voltage safety loop wiring from the main PCB through all safety devices (overheat stats, external interlocks). Look for breaks or loose connections.
- Investigate cause of trip: If a safety thermostat was tripped, determine why (blocked flue, fan failure, overheating) before resetting repeatedly.
If E13 remains after verifying all safety devices and wiring, contact a Termet technician to test each safety component and the control board.
