E01
Furnace does not ignite, burner does not light, display shows E01 shortly after a call for heat.
Ignition Failure / No Flame Detected
E02
Furnace attempts to start but shuts down with E02, fan may run briefly, no stable flame.
Flame Loss During Operation
E03
Furnace locks out with E03, combustion fan may start but burner does not ignite, or unit stops during operation.
Flue Gas / Draft Fault (Pressure Switch Error)
E04
Display shows E04, furnace stops heating, may restart after cooling down.
Primary Overheat / Safety Thermostat Tripped
E05
Furnace shows E05 and will not start, or stops shortly after starting. Often associated with low system water pressure on hydronic Termet units.
Low System Pressure / Water Pressure Fault (for hydronic furnace/boiler variants)
E06
Display shows E06, furnace does not fire or shuts down, often related to temperature sensor issues.
Flow Temperature Sensor Fault (NTC Open/Short)
E07
Furnace shows E07, may run briefly then shut down, often related to return temperature sensing.
Return Temperature Sensor Fault (NTC Open/Short)
E08
Display shows E08, furnace will not start, fan may run continuously.
Flue Gas Temperature Sensor Fault / Overtemperature
E09
Furnace shows E09, burner does not start, sometimes accompanied by pump running only (on hydronic models).
Circulation Pump Fault / No Flow
E10
Display shows E10, furnace locks out, often related to condensate or water level issues on condensing Termet units.
Condensate Drain / Water Level Fault
E11
Furnace shows E11, no ignition, sometimes after power disturbances.
Ignition Electrode Fault / Ignition Circuit Error
E12
Display shows E12, furnace may start but then shuts down, often related to communication between modules.
Communication Error (Control Board / User Interface)
E13
Furnace shows E13, operation blocked, often associated with external safety devices.
External Safety Circuit Open (e.g., Overheat Stat, Flue Stat, Safety Loop)
E14
Display shows E14, furnace may not respond to thermostat commands.
Room Thermostat / Control Signal Fault
E15
Furnace shows E15, fan may run at high speed, burner off.
Fan Speed / Tachometer Fault
E16
Display shows E16, furnace may lock out after several failed attempts to modulate.
Gas Valve Modulation Fault
E17
Furnace shows E17, often after a brownout or surge, unit may be completely unresponsive or erratic.
Power Supply / Low Voltage Fault
E18
Display shows E18, furnace may overheat quickly or show inconsistent temperatures.
Domestic Hot Water (DHW) NTC Sensor Fault (on combi Termet units)
E19
Furnace shows E19, burner output limited or unit shuts down under high demand.
Flow Switch / DHW Flow Sensor Fault (combi models)
E20
Display shows E20, furnace may run at reduced power or shut down intermittently.
Return / Flow Temperature Difference Too High
Symptom
Blower runs continuously even when there is no call for heat.
Blower Stuck in Fan-On Mode / Fan Relay Fault
Symptom
Domestic hot water temperature fluctuates or is not stable on a combi Termet furnace/boiler.
Unstable DHW Temperature Control
Symptom
Furnace emits a burning smell when running, especially at the start of the season.
Dust Burn-Off / Overheating Components
Symptom
Furnace emits a chemical or plastic smell during operation.
Overheating Plastic Components / Contaminants on Heat Exchanger
Symptom
Furnace frequently locks out and requires manual reset, but no specific code is displayed or codes vary.
Intermittent Lockout / Unstable Operation
Symptom
Furnace frequently trips the household circuit breaker or blows fuses.
Electrical Overload / Short Circuit
Symptom
Furnace makes loud banging or booming noises at startup.
Delayed Ignition / Burner Light-Off Problem
Symptom
Furnace operates but gas consumption seems unusually high compared to previous seasons.
Reduced Efficiency / Poor Combustion
Symptom
Furnace produces a high-pitched whine or loud humming during operation.
Blower or Flue Fan Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Furnace runs but produces no heat to the home; blower operates, but supply air is cool.
No Heat Output with Blower Running
Symptom
Furnace short cycles: starts, runs for a few minutes, then shuts off and restarts frequently.
Short Cycling / Overheat or Control Instability
Symptom
Furnace starts but shuts down when another large appliance (e.g., range hood) runs.
Combustion Air / Venting Interaction
Symptom
Furnace vibrates excessively and causes rattling noises in ducts and casing.
Excessive Vibration / Mechanical Imbalance
Symptom
Furnace will not start at all; display is blank or dark, no fan or pump operation.
No Power / Dead Furnace
Symptom
Radiators or underfloor heating remain cold even though the furnace appears to be running normally.
No Circulation / Hydraulic Distribution Problem
Symptom
Rust-colored water or stains around the furnace base.
Internal Corrosion / Heat Exchanger or Condensate Component Leak
Symptom
Water leaking from the bottom of the furnace cabinet.
Condensate Leak (Condensing Termet Furnace)
