Possible Causes
Defective flue fan tachometer sensor, Blocked or stiff fan impeller, Loose fan connector on Termet PCB, Faulty fan speed control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas. Wait for moving parts to stop.
- Inspect flue fan: Remove the combustion cover and access the flue fan. Check for debris or soot buildup on the impeller. Clean carefully.
- Check fan rotation: Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely. Any grinding or stiffness indicates bearing issues.
- Verify connectors: Ensure the multi-pin connector from the fan to the Termet control board is fully seated and not corroded.
- Reset and test: Restore power and call for heat. If the fan does not reach commanded speed or E15 reappears, the fan assembly or control board may be defective.
Fan replacement and speed calibration should be done by a Termet-qualified technician.
