How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you smell gas, do not attempt repairs. Evacuate and call emergency services.
- Check thermostat: Confirm the thermostat is set to HEAT and the setpoint is above room temperature.
- Verify gas supply: Ensure the manual gas cock near the Termet furnace is fully open. Check that other gas appliances work.
- Observe ignition sequence: Through the inspection window, watch for spark and flame when there is a call for heat. If there is no flame, the unit may be attempting and failing to ignite.
- Reset furnace: Follow the Termet user manual to reset the unit. If it repeatedly tries and fails to ignite, an error code should appear; refer to ignition-related codes.
If the blower runs continuously with no heat and no code, the gas valve or control board may be faulty. Contact a Termet service technician.
