Possible Causes

Unstable gas/oil pressure, Dirty burner nozzle or gas injector, Faulty flame sensor, Combustion air settings incorrect

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and fuel supply before opening the burner. Combustion adjustments must be done by qualified personnel.

Homeowner checks:

  • Verify fuel supply stability: Ensure gas supply valve is fully open and that other large gas appliances are not causing pressure drops. For oil, check that the oil filter is not obviously leaking and that the tank has sufficient fuel.
  • Visual inspection: Look through the burner inspection window (if present) during operation. If the flame appears to ignite and then extinguish repeatedly, note this behavior for the technician.
  • Check flame sensor cleanliness: With power off, remove and clean the ionization electrode or UV sensor as described in E02.

Technician-level tasks (do not attempt unless qualified):

  • Check and adjust gas pressure at the Weishaupt gas valve train.
  • Clean or replace oil nozzle or gas injectors.
  • Perform full combustion analysis and adjust air damper settings on the Weishaupt burner.
