Safety: Shut off fuel supply and power. Work on gas or oil valves only if you are trained; otherwise, call a professional.

Basic checks:

• Listen for valve operation: During a start attempt (with covers in place), you should hear a click from the gas or oil valve. No click may indicate a coil or control issue.
• Inspect wiring: With power off, check the plug connectors on the Weishaupt gas valve train or oil solenoid valves. Ensure they are fully seated and not corroded.
• Check manual shutoff: Confirm that any manual shutoff on the valve body is open.

Technician tasks: Measure coil resistance, verify voltage at the valve during start, and replace the valve or coil if defective. Gas valve replacement must be followed by leak testing and combustion adjustment.
