Possible Causes
Sunlight or car headlights shining directly into Cardale photocell receiver, Misaligned sensors with marginal signal, Moisture or condensation on lenses at night, Weak photocell power due to long cable run
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not disable safety beams for normal use.
- Observe LEDs: At night, check the indicator LEDs on the photocells while operating the door. If they flicker or go out, alignment or interference is likely.
- Re‑align sensors: Adjust the brackets so the transmitter and receiver face each other squarely and are at the same height. Tighten mounting screws.
- Shield from direct light: If sunlight or headlights hit the receiver, fit a small hood or shield (without blocking the beam) to reduce glare.
- Seal against moisture: Ensure cable entries are sealed and lenses are clean and dry. Replace cracked housings.
