Possible Causes
Incorrectly set open limit on Cardale control board, Slipping drive sprocket or carriage on rail, Loose door arm connection to carriage, Obstruction at header or top panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting mechanical components.
- Check for obstruction at top of travel: Manually open the door fully and inspect the header, lintel, and top panel for interference with the opener rail or ceiling.
- Inspect carriage and arm: Ensure the door arm is firmly bolted to the Cardale trolley/carriage and that the carriage locking mechanism is fully engaged on the chain/belt.
- Check sprocket and drive: Look for a loose drive sprocket on the motor shaft or stripped teeth on a belt. Tighten sprocket set screws and replace worn belts.
- Re‑set open limit: Follow the Cardale instructions to adjust or re‑program the open limit. On many models, you press and hold the UP button until the door reaches the desired open position, then save.
- Test several cycles: Run the door through multiple open/close cycles to confirm E11 no longer appears.
