Possible Causes
Incorrectly set close limit, Door hitting raised floor stop or high threshold, Loose chain/belt causing slip near closed position, Bent door arm or bracket limiting travel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the door path while adjusting limits.
- Inspect floor area: Check for raised concrete, rubber thresholds, or objects on the floor that stop the door early. Remove obstructions or adjust the stop if appropriate.
- Check arm and brackets: Ensure the header bracket and door arm are not bent or contacting the opener rail before the door is fully closed.
- Check chain/belt tension: Tighten a slack chain or belt according to Cardale specifications so it does not jump teeth near the closed position.
- Re‑set close limit: Use the control panel to adjust the close limit so the door seals firmly against the floor without excessive force. Save the new setting.
- Verify safety reversal: Place a small block of wood under the door and close it. The door should reverse when it contacts the block. If not, adjust force settings per the manual.
