Possible Causes
Shorted accessory wiring on 24 V output, Incompatible third‑party accessory drawing too much current, Reversed polarity on keypad or photocell connections, Internal short in accessory device
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off mains power before disconnecting or reconnecting any accessory wiring.
- Disconnect all accessories: Remove all low‑voltage accessory connections from the Cardale control board (keypad, photocells, wall station, safety edge interface).
- Restore power and test: If E13 clears with all accessories removed, the fault lies in one of the accessories or its wiring.
- Reconnect one by one: With power OFF, reconnect accessories one at a time, restoring power and testing after each. When E13 reappears, the last connected accessory is suspect.
- Check polarity and wiring: Verify that + and – terminals are correctly wired for each device and that no strands of wire are bridging adjacent terminals.
- Replace faulty accessory: Replace the offending device with a Cardale‑approved accessory or correct model keypad/photocell.
