Possible Causes
Failed motor start/run capacitor (AC models), Open winding in Cardale motor, Jammed gearbox, Loose motor connector on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before opening the motor housing. Capacitors can retain charge—discharge safely.
- Check motor connector: Ensure the motor plug is firmly seated on the control PCB and that no pins are burnt.
- Inspect capacitor: Look for bulging, leaking, or cracked capacitor casing. Replace with the same µF and voltage rating if suspect.
- Test shaft rotation: With chain/belt removed and power OFF, try to rotate the motor shaft. If seized, replace the motor/gearbox assembly.
- Electrical tests: A technician can measure motor winding resistance to confirm an open circuit. Replace the Cardale motor assembly if windings are open.
