Possible Causes
Bent release lever on FAAC trolley, Jammed carriage against stop bolt, Corroded or seized release linkage, Misinstalled rail
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the door is supported; a heavy door can fall suddenly when released.
- Relieve tension: Try to move the door slightly with the opener to relieve pressure on the trolley, then pull the release cord firmly.
- Inspect trolley: With power off, use a ladder to examine the FAAC trolley and release lever. Look for bent or broken parts.
- Move trolley manually: If possible, slide the trolley along the rail by hand while pulling the release to free it from the opener arm.
- Replace trolley: If the release mechanism is damaged, replace the FAAC trolley carriage assembly.
If the door remains stuck, the problem may be with the door hardware itself; contact a door specialist.
