Possible Causes
Bent vertical or horizontal track, Loose track brackets, Damaged rollers, Debris in track
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and use locking pliers on the tracks to prevent the door from falling while working.
- Inspect tracks: Look along the full length of both tracks for bends, dents, or screws protruding into the path.
- Check rollers: Spin each roller by hand; replace any that are seized, cracked, or wobbling.
- Realign track: Loosen the mounting bolts slightly, tap the track into correct alignment (parallel and plumb), then retighten.
- Test manually: Move the door by hand through the problem area. It should glide smoothly. Only then reconnect the FAAC opener and test powered operation.
Do not increase opener force to overcome a mechanical obstruction; fix the door hardware instead.
