Possible Causes
Close limit cam set too high, Travel limits lost after power failure, Slipping limit screw on FAAC rail, New thicker bottom seal installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep clear of the door bottom while adjusting limits.
- Identify limit controls: On FAAC openers, locate the open and close limit adjustment screws or cams on the rail or control board.
- Adjust close limit: Turn the close limit adjustment in small increments in the direction indicated to increase travel until the door just contacts the floor.
- Compensate for new seal: If a new bottom seal was installed, additional travel may be needed to compress it slightly.
- Test several cycles: Run the door open and closed multiple times to confirm consistent full closure without excessive force.
Do not over-adjust so that the door presses hard into the floor; this can damage the opener and door.
