Possible Causes
Short circuit on 24V accessory line, Blown 24V fuse, Failed 24V regulator on FAAC board, Incorrect wiring of external devices
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before working on low-voltage wiring to avoid accidental shorts.
- Check 24V fuse: Locate the low-voltage fuse on the FAAC board (often labeled 24V or AUX). Replace only with the same rating if blown.
- Isolate accessories: Disconnect all 24V devices (photocells, keypads, receivers, safety edges) from the board. Restore power and check if E10 clears and 24V returns.
- Reconnect one by one: Reconnect each accessory, monitoring for the return of E10. The device that causes the fault is likely shorted or wired incorrectly.
- Inspect wiring: Look for staples or screws penetrating the low-voltage cable, especially near corners and junction boxes.
- Board repair: If E10 persists with all accessories disconnected and the fuse intact, the 24V regulator on the FAAC board is likely damaged and the board should be replaced.
Never bypass fuses or connect mains voltage to low-voltage terminals.
