Possible Causes
Disabled auto-close function in FAAC settings, Faulty timer circuit on control board, Active hold-open input from external device, Miswired push-button or key switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the door area is clear before testing auto-close functions.
- Check settings: Enter the FAAC programming menu and verify that the auto-close timer is enabled and set to a reasonable delay (e.g., 30 seconds).
- Inspect external inputs: If a key switch, access control, or building management system is connected, ensure it is not holding the door in an open command state.
- Test with only basic controls: Temporarily disconnect external control devices, leaving only the standard wall button connected. Test auto-close again.
- Reset logic: Perform a factory reset of logic parameters if allowed by the manual, then reconfigure only essential options.
- Board replacement: If E11 persists and all settings and inputs are correct, the timer circuit on the FAAC board may be defective and require replacement.
Be cautious when enabling auto-close in high-traffic areas; ensure all safety devices are functional.
