Possible Causes
Incorrect close limit position, Too high sensitivity on obstacle detection, Uneven floor or high weather seal, Loose rail or header bracket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep clear of the door while adjusting limits and force.
- Inspect floor and seal: Check for objects, raised concrete, or a thick new bottom seal that prevents the door from reaching the programmed close point.
- Adjust close limit: Move the FAAC close limit cam or reprogram the close limit so the door stops just as it contacts the floor without excessive pressure.
- Fine-tune force: Slightly increase closing force or reduce sensitivity on the FAAC board, staying within manufacturer recommendations.
- Check mounting hardware: Ensure the opener rail and header bracket are firmly attached and not flexing when the door closes.
- Run several test cycles: Verify that the door closes fully and stays closed without re-opening, and that it still reverses properly when obstructed.
Do not set force so high that the door can crush objects without reversing.
