Possible Causes
Shorted wall button cable, Stuck wall switch, Miswired control input on FAAC board, Failed low-voltage input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working on control wiring.
- Inspect wall button: Remove the wall control from the wall and check for stuck buttons or moisture damage. Disconnect its wires and test the opener by briefly shorting the two control terminals at the FAAC board with a jumper wire.
- Check cable: If the opener works when jumpered at the board, the wall button or its cable is faulty. Replace the button or run a new low-voltage cable.
- Verify wiring polarity (if required): Some FAAC multi-function wall stations require correct polarity; match the terminals as per the manual.
- Test input circuit: If shorting the control terminals at the board does nothing, the input circuit on the FAAC PCB may be defective.
- Replace control board or add external relay: As a workaround, an external receiver or relay can be wired to a different input if available, but the proper fix is board replacement.
Never connect mains voltage to the wall control terminals; they are low-voltage only.
