Possible Causes

Misconfigured open/close inputs, Stuck open command from external device, Faulty relay on FAAC board controlling close direction, Wiring error on key switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure the door is secure and area is clear before testing.

  • Review wiring diagram: Compare actual wiring of open, close, and step-by-step inputs to the FAAC manual. Correct any miswired terminals.
  • Test each input: Use a short jumper wire to momentarily bridge the open, close, and step-by-step terminals individually and observe the response.
  • Disconnect external controls: Remove wires from external open-only or close-only devices (key switches, access control). If E15 clears, the external device is faulty.
  • Check board relays: Listen for relay clicks on the FAAC board when a close command is given. No click may indicate a failed relay or driver circuit.
  • Replace control board if needed: If wiring and external devices are correct and E15 persists, the logic section of the board may be defective.

Label all wires before removal to avoid confusion during reinstallation.
