Door will not close from remote; opener beeps or flashes; E5 or five flashes shown; door will close only with constant-pressure command if available.

Safety: Disconnect power before changing wiring. Keep people and vehicles clear of the door.

• Identify safety edge type: Determine if your FAAC system uses a wired pressure-sensitive edge, optical edge, or a wireless edge transmitter on the bottom of the door.
• Inspect wiring and connectors: For wired edges, follow the cable from the bottom of the door to the FAAC control board. Look for cuts, crushed sections, or loose terminal screws. Repair or replace damaged cable.
• Check safety input jumpers: Some FAAC boards require a factory jumper if no safety edge is installed. Verify that the jumper is present and correctly placed if you do not have an active edge.
• Test edge function: With power on, activate the edge (press the rubber edge or block the optical beam) while the door is closing. The door should reverse. If it does nothing or E5 appears, the edge or its transmitter/receiver is faulty.
• Replace defective edge: Install a compatible FAAC safety edge kit, connect to the designated terminals, and program any wireless components according to the manual.

Never bypass required safety devices permanently; this can create a serious injury risk and may violate regulations.
