Novoferm garage door opener will not respond to any remote controls, but works from the wall button or integrated push button.

Safety first: Disconnect mains power to the Novoferm operator before opening any covers. Do not work on live terminals.

Steps to try:

• Check remote batteries: Replace the battery in each Novoferm hand transmitter (remote). Confirm the LED on the remote lights when pressed.
• Test wall button: If the door operates from the wall push button or integrated button on the head unit, the motor and control board are generally OK and the issue is with the radio system.
• Reprogram remotes: Restore power, then press the learn/program button on the Novoferm control head (often behind the light cover) until the LED flashes. Press the remote button to pair. Test operation.
• Inspect antenna: Locate the thin antenna wire exiting the control head. Ensure it is not cut, pinched, or wrapped around mains cables. Straighten it and keep it hanging freely for best reception.
• Reduce interference: Move Wi‑Fi routers, LED drivers, or other RF devices away from the opener if they are very close. Temporarily unplug nearby devices to see if reception improves.
• Check receiver module: On some Novoferm models the radio receiver is a plug‑in module on the control board. With power off, remove and reseat the module. If corrosion or damage is visible, replacement is recommended.

When to stop: If remotes cannot be learned at all or only work at very short range even after these steps, the internal radio receiver or control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
