Possible Causes

Down force set too high, Close limit set too far, Door too light after spring adjustment, Faulty force sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Excessive closing force is dangerous. Correct immediately.

Steps to try:

  • Reduce down force: Turn the down force adjustment on the Novoferm control board to a lower setting as per the manual.
  • Adjust close limit: Shorten the close travel so the door just contacts the floor and the motor stops.
  • Test safety reversal: Place a solid object (e.g., a piece of wood) under the door and close it. The door should reverse upon contact. If not, discontinue use and have the system serviced.
