Possible Causes

Incorrectly set close travel limit, Door seal thicker than original, Mechanical stop on floor or in track, Limit cam slipped on shaft

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep clear of the door while adjusting limits. Do not stand under the door.

Steps to try:

  • Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing on the floor or in the tracks is preventing full closure.
  • Inspect bottom seal: If a new, thicker rubber seal has been fitted, the close limit may need to be extended slightly.
  • Adjust close limit: Use the close limit adjustment screw, dial, or menu setting on the Novoferm opener. Make small adjustments and test each time until the door closes firmly against the floor without excessive force.

Do not over‑adjust so that the door presses hard into the floor; this can damage the opener and door.
