Opener will not respond to remote controls; wall button may still operate the door; diagnostic LED flashes six times repeatedly.

Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the opener housing. Use only Stanley-compatible remotes and receivers.

Steps to restore remote operation:

• 1. Check antenna: Locate the thin antenna wire hanging from the opener head. Ensure it is intact, not cut short, and not wrapped around metal brackets. Straighten it downward for best reception.
• 2. Reprogram remotes: Restore power. Press and hold the LEARN or PROGRAM button on the Stanley logic board until the indicator LED lights. Press the button on your remote within 30 seconds. The opener light should blink to confirm programming. Repeat for each remote.
• 3. Test range: Stand 20–30 feet away and test the remote. If it only works very close to the opener, suspect antenna or receiver issues.
• 4. Inspect receiver module: Disconnect power, remove the cover, and locate the radio receiver board (sometimes a plug-in module on older Stanley units). Reseat any plug-in connectors. Look for burn marks or corrosion.
• 5. Replace receiver if needed: If remotes are known good and programming fails, replace the Stanley-compatible external receiver module and connect it to the P/B (push button) and power terminals as directed by the kit instructions.
