Possible Causes
Failed jam detection sensor, Disconnected sensor harness, Sensor contaminated with moisture or debris, Faulty control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before accessing any internal components.
- Check for actual jams: First verify the grinding plate spins freely using the hex service port. Remove any obstructions from the chamber.
- Inspect sensor wiring: On models with jam/torque sensors, locate the small sensor module on the motor housing and follow its harness to the control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and not corroded.
- Dry and clean: If the sensor area shows signs of moisture, dry it thoroughly and correct any leaks above the unit.
- Control reset: Turn off power for 5 minutes to reset the control logic, then restore power and test.
If E10 persists with a free-spinning plate and intact wiring, the jam sensor or control board is likely defective and should be replaced.
