Possible Causes

Clogged filter cartridge, Air lock in jet pump, Closed or partially closed slice valves, Debris in pump impeller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before removing filters or opening unions.

  • 1. Clean or remove filter: Take out the Coleman filter cartridge and rinse thoroughly. Test jet strength with the filter removed; if improved, replace the filter.
  • 2. Open all jets and valves: Turn all jet faces fully open and ensure slice valves in the equipment bay are pulled up (open) and locked.
  • 3. Bleed air from pump: Loosen the union on the suction side of the jet pump until air escapes and water appears, then retighten.
  • 4. Inspect impeller: If pressure is still low, remove the pump wet end (with power off and spa drained below pump level) and check for debris in the impeller. Clean and reassemble.
  • 5. Replace pump if needed: If the impeller and plumbing are clear but flow remains weak, the pump may be worn and should be replaced with a Coleman-compatible jet pump.
