Possible Causes
Failed dedicated circulation pump, Blocked circulation line, Air lock in circulation circuit, Control pack not powering circ pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before working on the circulation pump.
- 1. Identify circulation pump: Coleman spas often have a small, continuously running circulation pump separate from the jet pumps.
- 2. Check for vibration: With power on, lightly touch the pump housing (without touching terminals). If there is no vibration or warmth, the pump may not be running.
- 3. Bleed air: Loosen the circulation pump unions to release trapped air, then retighten.
- 4. Clean filter: A clogged filter can starve the circulation pump. Remove and clean or replace the filter.
- 5. Replace pump: If the pump receives power but does not run, replace the circulation pump with a Coleman-compatible unit.
