How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: High voltage hazard. Only qualified persons should test live circuits.
- Power off and inspect: Turn off the breaker and check pump 2 wiring and unions for leaks or corrosion.
- Check for binding: Try to rotate the pump 2 shaft manually. If stiff or locked, the motor bearings or impeller may be damaged.
- Examine capacitor: Replace a swollen or leaking capacitor with a MAAX-specified replacement.
- Confirm voltage: Ensure the motor is wired for the correct supply voltage (120/240V) per MAAX wiring diagram.
- Replace pump: If the motor continues to trip the breaker or will not start, replace the pump 2 assembly.
