Possible Causes
Loose pump union on MAAX pump, Cracked heater manifold, Failed pump shaft seal, Split PVC plumbing or jet body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and do not run pumps with low water level. Water near electrical components is hazardous.
- Locate source: Remove the MAAX cabinet panels and use a flashlight to trace the leak while the spa is filled. Look for drips at unions, pump seals, and heater connections.
- Tighten unions: Hand-tighten any loose pump or heater unions. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking.
- Check pump seal: If water is leaking from between the pump motor and wet end, the shaft seal has failed. Replace the pump seal kit or entire wet end.
- Repair plumbing: For cracked PVC or jet bodies, drain the spa below the leak and use PVC couplings or replace the affected jet body using MAAX-compatible parts.
- Dry equipment: After repair, thoroughly dry the equipment bay before restoring power.
